They have been marketed under a variety of names: Astrojump, moonwalk, bounce house, moon bounce, or jolly jump in the US, bouncy castle or inflatable castle in the UK and parts of Australia, and as jumping castles in Australia, New Zealand, Canada and South Africa. They are often in the shape of a castle but can be made into a variety of designs.

INPA/TIPE Issues Inspector Warning - It has come to our attention that operators are receiving a mailing from Mr Peter McCormack regarding the annual testing of inflatables. Mr McCormack, who changed his name from Peter Morrell by deed poll, has, in fact, a Prohibition Notice issued by the Health and Safety Executive preventing him from testing inflatable play equipment. 08 Jul 2011 04:50:15 GMT
